GHOSTLY GALLOP 5K

BENEFITTING THE HUDSON AREA LIBRARY

PO BOX 830   HUDSON, NEW YORK 12534

December 2, 2015

            As the saying goes, “Records are made to be broken.” With the help of the very large Rapport, Meyers team, and that of runners, walkers, volunteers, and many, many, more, we did just that at the GG5K this fall.

In its 15th running, the event set the following records;

  • 80 School age registrations… most ever.
  • Fastest woman runner, Arianna Nilsson set a course record for women at 22:11.
  • Fastest of the men, Dan Ronsani, set another course record at 18:30.
  • Both record setters were business sponsors of the event.
  • 24 Business sponsors generosity more than covered the cost of staging the event.
  • 48 Individual donors.
  • 277 Registrations… most ever.

            As the event was conducted on a new USA Track & Field certified course, every runner and walker set a “personal best time” for this event. More importantly, it was smiles and cheers all around as everyone had a terrific time.  Your generosity was a vital part of making that possible. On behalf of each participant and volunteer, and the Hudson Area Library, thank you for your belief in our efforts.
